I’ve created a proof that, if there exists some smallest number that does NOT iterate to 1 under the Collatz Conjecture, it MUST be congruent to 3 modulo 4.

I have a few questions for ANYONE WHO IS WILLING TO ANSWER-

Is this actually useful, and does it actually matter? Has someone actually discovered this before? Who should I contact? AM I OVERREACTING?
